Jackie Lee Farley passed from this life into Jesus’ arms at the age of 78 on April 21, 2025.
He was born in Madison, Tennessee and grew up in the special town of Old Hickory.
He graduated from DuPont High School in 1964 and kept many cherished friendships throughout the years. He gave his life to Jesus and was baptized in the Old Hickory First Baptist Church in April 1959 where he and his family remained members.
Jackie joined the Army in 1966 and served his country honorably in Vietnam. When he returned home, he married his longtime sweetheart, Freda Freeman, in 1970. They celebrated their 54 year anniversary in July of 2024.
Jackie spent 28 years with United Parcel Service and retired with a special honor of safety.
Jackie was an avid golfer, celebrating three hole-in-ones. He enjoyed all of his golfing buddies, particularly when they would go on special adventures to Pebble Beach. His trips also included Lake Jovita, both with the guys and with Freda, which were memorable times.
Jackie was a loving father to his two boys, Jeff and Chad, and a special “Papa” to his five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He also loved being an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his loving wife, Freda, his son Jeff Farley (Beth), Chad Farley (Eryn), his grandchildren, Samantha Robinson (Austin), Nick Farley (Katie), Connor Farley, Maddison Farley, Haley Farley, and his great grandchildren, Samuel Farley and Sophie Farley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willis Farley, mother, Willie Farley, brother, Bob Farley (Gail), and brother, Wayne Farley.
Visitation for the family was held Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 11:00 am until 2:30 pm at Hermitage Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life at 2:30 pm officiated by Bro.
