Herman Lee Temple, age 92 of Nashville, passed away May 10, 2025. Mr. Temple is preceded in death by his parents Sam B. and Elva Temple; his wife of 55 years, Lois Marlin Temple, daughters-in-law, Linda Cantrell Temple, and Kathy Smith Temple; sister, Joyce Dickerson; brothers, Sam E. Temple, William T. Temple, and Robert Temple; brothers-in-law, Leonard Matthews, Andrew Dickerson, Henry Marlin Jr, and Bobby Griffin; Sisters-in law, Flossie Temple, Betty Temple, Nancy Griffin, and Kat Marlin.
Survivors of Mr. Temple include his daughter, Sandy Temple, and sons, Ronnie (Nancy), Ricky (Kim), and Larry (Jamie); Brothers, Hershel, Horace (Sheryn), and Wayne (Judy); sisters, Lou Matthews and Sarah Smith (Pee Wee); sister-in-law, Suzanne Temple.
Grandchildren; Ricky Temple Jr. (Amanda), Whitney Davidson (Shannon), Amanda Jones (Michael), Ronnie Temple Jr. (Liz), Amber Zaccard (Rick), and James Rigby. Great-grandchildren: Reagan Temple, Parker Davidson, Hannah Jones, Peyton Jones, Emily Zaccard, and Ignacio Nunez.
Mr. Temple served in the U.S. Army, owned his own TV shop, and later retired from St Thomas Hospital. He loved fishing, NASCAR, and sports. Mr. Temple was a member of Scottsboro Baptist Church. He loved his Lord, his family, and helping others.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 3:00PM until 7:00PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 12:00PM until 1:00PM.
A Celebration of Mr. Temple’s Life will begin at 1:00PM in the Chapel at West Harpeth with Pastor Sam Davis officiating. Following the Service, Mr. Temple will be laid to rest in the Joelton Hills Memory Gardens.
