Grayson Keeling Turner II, born on March 9, 1944, passed away on January 21, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his parents James Bettye Turner and Mary Lloyd Wilkerson Turner and brother Miller Turner.
Keeling was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and an avid Vol fan. He was an enthusiastic snow skier, tennis player, horseback rider, scuba diver and even dabbled in underwater photography.
Keeling was the former owner and President of Provident Trust Co, a firm his father founded in in 1941. He was president of the Nashville Mortgage Bankers Association in 1975. Keeling was Vice President at SunTrust Mortgage Company. Keeling was a partner in the Sycamore Development Group. He was the owner and development partner of Brandywine Pointe in Old Hickory, Tennessee. This property had been in his family since the the early 1800’s. The development was one of largest developments on Old Hickory Lake in the late 1990’s.
Keeling is survived by Vadis Lloyd Pierce Turner (Clay Ezell), Johnathan Edmond Turner, Ashley Michelle Turner, Susanne Cutshaw Beckett (Christopher Beckett); grandsons Grayson Pierce Ezell, William Vreeland Ezell, Mitchell Joseph Turner, and granddaughter Lily Marie Beckett.
