Gerald Dwayne Baynham was born September 28th, 1966, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Cinyah Troutt, his uncles Jerome (Regina) Moody, Willie (Shirley) Moody, Edward Nesbitt, James Nixon, his aunt Patricia (Herbert) Ramey, Juanita Rogers, as well as his grandparents Dora Lyle, Milton Lyle, Anna Moody, and Harry Moody. He peacefully departed this life on September 25th, 2025.
Gerald was a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, but most of all a pawpaw. He grew up in east Nashville and attended Metro Nashville Public Schools. Gerald was one of the Bottom OGs. He was one-of-a-kind. If you knew Gerald, you knew he loved to be on the grill as he was a grill master, but most of all he loved his family. Gerald loved to play dominos and spades. He worshiped at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Derrick Moore. Gerald worked at DoubleTree Hotel and Nashville Wire.
He leaves to cherish very special memories with his parents Donie Baynham and John Wesley (JW), his children LaToya Troutt, Adrian Wilkerson, Gericka Baynham, and Brenaia (Timothy) Ramey, his siblings Keith Baynham, Tyrus (Elder Constance) Baynham, Regina Baynham, Steve (Rita) Baynham, Cassandra (Elmer) Brown, Kendre Baynham, and Shawnta Baynham, Aunts Sharon Vance, Carol (George) Daniel, Birdie Nixon, Lunie Nesbitt, and an uncle Richard Rogers, grandchildren Tamya, Mariah, Charles, Justice, Adrianna, Jayden, Kash, Harmony, Adriya, Zaileel, a great granddaughter Ja’Zaria, and the Hill, Dowell, Rice, Gardner, Bentley-Hopkins, Washington family, the Bottom Family, Weiss Market, and a host of cousins, friends, and relatives.
