Felicia Carole Wilt, age 61, a resident of Antioch, previously of Santa Fe, passed away Tuesday morning, November 30, 2021, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on December 2, 1959, in Columbia, Felicia was the daughter of Bettye June Fox Wilt and the late Harold Wilt.
She was a 1977 graduate of Santa Fe High School, attended Columbia State Community College and Autin Peay University, and earned her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University. She enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, and studying ancestry.
Felicia was active in several lineage organizations, serving as a leader at the chapter, state, and national level. She was currently serving as 3rd Vice President National, Tennessee State President, and Vice President of the Old Hickory-Nickajack Chapter, National Society U.S. Daughters of 1812; Charter member and National Historian, Order of the Steel Magnolias; State 2nd Vice President and Vice President of Natchez Trace Chapter, Colonial Dames XVII Century; Charter member and Past Regent of the Cecilia Bradford Carroll Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution; Tennessee Ambassador, National Society Descendants of American Farmers; and member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and Daughters of Union Veterans. She was a member of the Andrew Jackson Penny Chapter National Society Daughters of the Union, served as page chair for annual congress 2019 and was a member of the national audit committee, a member of The Ivy Green Chapter of the Southern Dames of America, and an honorary member of Texas State Society U.S.D. 1812. She was a member of the Nashville Sports Council where she volunteered for many Tennessee Titans functions and was a past member of Parks Belk’s teen board as a model. Felicia was presented the American flag that flew over the Tennessee state capitol building in honor of her volunteer work for the Veteran’s Administration.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Tony (Cathy) Wilt of Santa Fe, sisters, Sandra Sewell of Columbia, Jennifer Sisk of Columbia, uncle, Larry (Janie) Fox of Santa Fe, nieces, Paula (Barry) Thompson, Samantha Sisk, nephew, Michael Sisk, great-niece, Catherine Thompson, great-nephew, Anthony Thompson, special friend, Eddie Schmidt and his family, Corey Schmidt, Vanessa Schmidt, and Cali Brown.
Pallbearers will be Barry Thompson, Corey Schmidt, Vanessa Schmidt, Marty Lockhart, Steven Sowell, Tim Fox, Jeff Fox, and Zachary Caperton. Honorary pallbearers will include Danny Fox, members of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of 1812, members of the Colonial Dames, and Descendants of American Farmers.
