“She dreamed big dreams and aimed for the moon.”
With joyful hearts, we celebrate the beautiful life of Faye Bailey, a woman whose indomitable spirit and zest for life touched everyone she met. Born on November 16th, 1940, in Evansville, IN, Faye’s journey was one of determination, creativity, and boundless optimism.
Faye was a hard worker and entrepreneur throughout her life. She began her career as an administrative assistant but quickly branched out, always seeking new horizons. In the early 1970s, she founded one of the first 24-hour day care centers, showcasing her innovative spirit and dedication to helping others. Later, her passion for music led her to help develop a music recording studio and publishing business, where she met her husband, Razzy Bailey. Together, they shared a love for music and adventure.
Her love for travel took her to many places, but the beach held a special place in her heart, especially Onslow Beach in North Carolina. Faye reveled in the sound of waves and the feel of sand beneath her feet, embracing the simple joys of life. A born shopper and decorator, she found joy in retail therapy, always on the lookout for unique treasures to brighten her home and the lives of those around her.
Family was at the center of Faye’s world. Thanksgiving and Christmas were always special times filled with laughter and warmth. She delighted in decorating for Christmas and hosting family gatherings in her home. Meals might not have been on time, but they were always worth the wait. Her legendary stuffing recipe was a well-guarded secret that even she didn’t quite remember, adding to the fun and charm of her culinary adventures.
Faye’s personality was a vibrant tapestry of determination, confidence, creativity, optimism, and intelligence. Her radiant smile and enthusiastic spirit inspired everyone around her. She taught us to dream big, aim for the moon, and embrace life with both arms open wide.
As we remember Faye, we celebrate her love for Music and Travel, her entrepreneurial achievements, and the joyous memories she created with family and friends. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life lived to the fullest.
