Evelyn “Gerri” Osburn of Nashville, TN at age 85, went home to be with Our Lord on January 1st, 2025, surrounded by loving family at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN.
She is survived by her sisters, Tommy Denny and Nancy Hinote; brother, Sonny Pyburn; children, Barry (Ruth) Osburn, Michele Edwards, Grant (Kim) Osburn, and Christi Earle; grandchildren, Avery and Syrus Osburn, Carson and Jackson Earle; several nephews and nieces, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jesse Cowan “JC” Osburn, and parents Cecil and Izora Pyburn.
Gerri was a member of Glen Leven Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN.
She loved spending time watching the birds visit her many feeders. She also enjoyed relaxing on her porches, where you could often find her sipping fruit tea while keeping an eye on all the neighborhood activity.
As a military family, Gerri loved sharing stories of her early travels and adventures. The family would often gather for porch meals and reminisce of the past years.
Her sweet but sassy demeanor made her such a joy to be around and spend time with.
Gerri’s beautiful legacy will always live with us.
