Evelyn C. Andrews, 96, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Born December 23, 1927, in Columbia, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Henry Leslie Gilliam and Delsie Erwin Gilliam.

Evelyn was a member of Goodlettsville Church of Christ.  She was affectionately known as a mother to everyone, always opening her door to those in need. Her love and hospitality were legendary; she had an unparalleled talent for making all feel welcome and cared for, often trying to feed anyone who came into her home.

Those who knew Evelyn will remember her infectious sense of humor that brightened even the darkest days. Her laughter created cherished memories that will linger in the hearts of her loved ones. Outside of her family, she enjoyed a variety of hobbies, taking pleasure in solving puzzles, tending to her vibrant flower garden when she was able to do so, engaging in craft projects, and taking care of her numerous hummingbirds.

Evelyn is survived by her loving sons, James (Patsy) Andrews and Dale (Patti) Andrews; her devoted daughters, Gloria Dyer and Judy (Steve) Lanham; and her siblings, Barbara Coleman and Cecil Gilliam. She also leaves behind 26 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  Her legacy of love and nurturing will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J.L. Andrews; grandson Robert Dale Andrews, Jr.; and son-in-law Teddy J Dyer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at the same location. The family will welcome friends and visitors two hours prior to the funeral.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville. https://www.coleandgarrett.com
