Elizabeth Garrett

Elizabeth Katerina “Ellie” Garrett, age 26, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Born on April 8, 1999, in Bulgaria, Elizabeth was adopted by her loving parents, William and Julia Garrett, and welcomed by her older sister,Julianna.

She was a devoted member of The River Community Church in Cookeville, TN, where she made her home. A passionate entrepreneur, Elizabeth pursued several buisness ventures and had a deep love for creativity and artistic expression. She especially enjoyed car rides with her beloved chocolate lab, Layla, and best friend, Jennifer. Like her sister, she was an avid golfer and found peace in the game.

Elizabeth brought light into every room and had a gift for turning strangers into friends. Full of joy and warmth, she lived her life as a faithful ambassador of Christ. Her unwavering belief touched many lives, leading others to Christ through her resilience and example. We are endlessly proud of her.

She was a strong-willed, loving daughter, sister, and friend. Her compassion and empathy shone through her actions, and her love for animals reflected her gentle heart. Elizabeth made a lasting impact on all who knew her. Though our hearts ache, we find peace knowing her faith never wavered. She is now in the loving embrace of Jesus, watching over us.

Elizabeth is survived by her parents, William and Julia; her sister, Julianna; and her best friend, Jennifer.

An open visitation will be held at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery in Nashville, TN on Tuesday, May 20th, from 9:00 to 11:00 am. A strictly private burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The River Community Church and Birdies for Danny, a non-profit supporting mental health.
