Edward John-Kothe Mazon, born November 18, 1991, in Tacoma, Washington, passed away on June 25, 2026. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose steady presence, humor, and loyalty touched everyone who knew him.

Edward was the cherished son of Joellen Marie Mulderink (née Sackrider) and her husband John, and of Keith Robert Mazon and his wife Michelle. He carried their love with him throughout his life, and they now carry his memory with immeasurable pride and grief.

Edward was a proud graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, Class of 2010, where he built friendships and experiences that stayed with him throughout his life.

A man of commitment and quiet strength, Edward served in the Army National Guard, where he demonstrated discipline, resilience, and a deep sense of responsibility. His professional life reflected that same dedication. He worked with the Tennessee Department of Corrections, Delta-9 International LLC, Cobra Special Response Team/Security, Allied Universal, Stewart County Detention Center, Grey Man Group LLC, and most recently served as Security Manager for Barstool Sports. In every role, Edward earned the respect of his colleagues through his reliability, his work ethic, and his unwavering commitment to keeping others safe.

Outside of work, Edward found joy in the outdoors and in the quiet focus of the hobbies he loved. He was an avid golfer, happiest with a club in his hands and a course stretched out before him. He loved fishing – the patience, the calm, the connection to the water – and he had a lifelong fascination with collecting knives, appreciating their craftsmanship and history.

Edward is survived by his siblings, each of whom held a special place in his heart: Jewel Marie Guillot and her husband, and their daughters Odette Aurora and Mavis Elena; Keith Robert-Jerome Mazon; Izess Funicello and her daughter Janiyah Marie Eyiowuawi; Addison Raigan Mazon; Austin Raymond Mazon; and Eva Mathai Mazon. They will remember him for his warmth, his loyalty, and the way he made ordinary days feel lighter just by being part of them.

Edward’s absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will remain a constant source of love and strength for his family.
