Edith Pauline Behel, age 97, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. She was born on October 28, 1927, in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Mrs. Behel is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Behel; sisters Becky Harmon and Mary Brock; brothers William Harwell and Thomas Harwell; and grandson, Joshua Behel.
She is survived by sons Raymond M Behel, II (Amy) and Don H. Behel (LeaAnn); grandchildren Jonathan Behel (Ashley), Jacob Behel (Adam), Tyler Behel (Kelly Connell), MacKenzie Smith (Sean), Carson Palmer, Curtis Palmer (Lauryn); great-grandchildren Lillian (Lilly) Behel, Elijah Smith, Everett Smith, Kai Behel, and Koa Behel. Mrs. Behel also leaves behind many extended family members and friends.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends for Mrs. Behel on Saturday, October 11, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Mrs. Behel’s Life will follow at 12:00 PM in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home with Don Loftis officiating. Jonathan Behel, Jacob Behel, Tyler Behel, and Chase Harwell will serve as pallbearers. Following the service, Mrs. Behel will be laid to rest in the Garden of the Apostles at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
