Douglas Lee “Doug” Robbins, age 90, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023.
Preceded in death by wife of 60 years, Susie Todd Robbins; grandsons, Paul David “PJ” Robbins, Jr. and Michael Hatcher; parents, Louis and Mary Robbins; brother, Loran Robbins; and sister, June Harrell.
Doug was a longtime member of Center Chapel Church of Christ and more recently Woodson Chapel Church of Christ. He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years.
Survived by children, Paul David (Gayle) Robbins, Deborah Leah (Charles) Dean, Rebekah Ann Robbins, John Mark (Susan) Robbins, Aaron Michael Robbins and Joanna Elizabeth Robbins; grandchildren, Melinda (Shaun) Merrill, Crystal Tomlinson, Jessica Dean, Samantha Robbins, Brian Robbins, Amy (Shane) Duncan, Aaron Michael “AJ” Robbins and Caitlin Robbins; great-grandchildren, Shauna Merrill, Nicholan Schultz, Laurel Tomlinson, Brendan Tomlinson, Eila James Duncan, Delano Liev “Del” Duncan and Kellen Laird.
Funeral services will be conducted by Andy Connelly and Wesley Walker on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment Christ Church Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
