Donald Black age 68 of Pleasant View, TN passed away Jan. 9th, 2026.
He was preceded in death by parents, John and Virginia Black; niece, Stacy Black; great-niece, Anslee Black; nephew, Ryan Blake; sister-in-law, Rhonda Harrison, and mother and father-in-law, Pansy and Billy Walker.
Donald is survived by loving wife of nearly 40 years, Tracy Black; children, Walker (Sarah) Black, Genny (Brian) Wegenke; and Billy (Krista) Black; grandchildren, Kylee Wegenke; McKenzie Wegenke; and Neal Black; brothers, Richard (Lori) Black; and Charlie (Janis) Black; brother-in-law, Ronnie Harrison; sister-in-law, Leslie Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald had a gift for coaching the local youth from football and wrestling, to baseball and softball. He stayed active in the community holding the commissioner title of Joelton Park, as well as Pleasant View Park. Donald was a loyal employee, retiring from Metro Nashville Property Assessors Office as the Greenbelt Rural Supervisor.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the close friends he made during his time there.
He was also a member of Greenville Church. He always put family first, loved rooting for his favorite teams, (Vanderbilt and the Steelers) and never met a stranger.
Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, January 24th from 1PM until the time of Memorial Service at 2:30PM led by Dr. John Carpenter at 24 Church in Pleasant View. https://www.andersonandgarrett.com
