Dianne South Hunter, age 85, of Nashville TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
Dianne entered this life on January 18, 1939 in Nashville, TN to the late Jesse Sterling and Mildred South.
She graduated from West End High School in 1957 and attended Middle Tennessee State College. She was a beloved member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church. Dianne loved her family and friends deeply. She spent a lot of her years playing tennis and golf and was still actively playing bridge.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Beverly Mills.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Melvin Perry Hunter; children Derek Hunter (Renee), Kimberly Hunter Allen, Cary Hunter (Shannon); brother Jim South (Sandy): grandchildren Nathan Hunter, Chandler Allen, Andrew Hunter, Cara Hunter, Caroline Hunter and Cooper Allen; loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Hermitage Hills Baptist. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8th, 2024 at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church, with Dr. Poly Rouse officiating. Pallbearers will be Nathan Hunter, Chandler Allen, Andrew Hunter, Cooper Allen, Nicholas Balthrop and Steve Mills.
