Our hearts are heavy as we share that our beloved Diane Miller passed away on March 1st, 2025, in Nashville, TN, after a brief illness.
Born on December 4th, 1953, in Franklin, TN, Diane was a warm, caring, and loving soul who was always concerned about others.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Dwight Miller, Jr. Diane and Richard shared countless joyful moments, especially during their cherished board game nights. She is also survived by her loving and supportive church family at Inglewood Baptist Church where she was a lifelong member.
She was an avid reader who began her career as a librarian at Metro Davidson Co. Libraries in 1973. Her love for books was only matched by her passion for music; she found peace in listening to praise and worship songs during her free time. Diane was known for her generosity with her time and her genuine care for others. Her wit and great sense of humor brought smiles to many faces. A keen observer of people and her surroundings, she had a unique way of making everyone feel seen and valued. Friday movie nights at friends’ houses, watching old classics, were among her favorite activities, reflecting her love for simple, joyful moments shared with loved ones. We will forever cherish the memories of Diane’s kindness, empathy, and optimism.
Her legacy of love and generosity lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though words cannot express how much we will miss her, we find comfort in the love she left behind. Rest easy, Diane. You will always be in our hearts. Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101, www.springhillfh.com.
