Dakota Moores, 24, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed into eternity on November 27, 2025. He was born on August 4, 2001 in Hendersonville, Tennessee to Jennifer Moores and was later adopted by his grandparents, Richard and Debbie Moores. He is preceded in death by his father/grandfather, Richard Moores.
He is survived by his mother/grandmother Debbie Moores; mother Jennifer Moores; brother Charles Moores; sisters Natalie (Christopher) Ginn, Kelsi Moores (John Hill), Kayla Moores (Presley Gamble); nephews Chris Ginn, Tristan Moores, Skylar Ginn, Kenver Hunt, Levi Hill, Raylan Bozzelli and Sonny Gamble; and nieces Destiny Ginn (Sean Green), Brooklyn Bozzelli, and Avianna Netherton; great-nephews Weston Ginn and Maverick Green; and great-nieces Grace Green, Kayleigh Green, and Paislee Jones.
Dakota attended Madison Creek Elementary School where he thrived, Hunter Middle School, and Aaron Academy. He began online classes with Southern University just two days before his death and was excited to begin working towards an associate’s degree in business.
Dakota earned his black belt in taekwondo. He was an avid reader and preferred reading a book to watching television or a movie when relaxing at home. His favorite books were sci-fi and fantasy novels. He loved the beach, hiking through the woods, playing pool and hanging out with friends.
Dakota was a part of the young adults’ group at Long Hollow Church. He had given his life to Christ and knew he was still on this earth only through the grace and mercy of God. His final words written just before his death were related to treating others with kindness because, “You never know the wars they are going through mentally.” Let us honor Dakota’s life and memory by being kind and loving one another.
