Connie Marie Carroll Allen, born December 28, 1946, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025. A lifelong resident of Middle Tennessee, Connie was born in Nashville to the late Owen Staley Carroll Jr. and Mary Marie Hassell Carroll. She was a proud graduate of Isaac Litton High School, Class of 1965.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Kristopher (Kris) Shawn Gammons. Connie is survived by her devoted husband, John Augustus Allen Jr.; her brother, Owen Staley Carroll III; her son, Clifford Maurice Allen (Cheri); her daughter, Cerrie Marie Allen Gammons; her beloved grandchildren, Paige Elizabeth Allen and Christian David Allen; and her step-grandchildren, Brittany Darks and Tanner Darks.
Connie and John made their home in Madison, TN, where she was an active and faithful member of Madison Presbyterian Church. There she served joyfully in the choir, the Women’s Circle Group, and as a dedicated youth teacher. Later, she became a cherished member of First Presbyterian Church Hendersonville, where she contributed her time and talents to the Sen-n-Sews ministry and participated in various mission outreach efforts.
A woman of many talents, Connie was deeply artistic and found joy in creating stained glass windows, pottery, and both watercolor and oil paintings. She also enjoyed lively games of bridge with her dear friends the Mermaids.
Connie will be remembered for her creativity, warmth, enduring faith, and love for her family and friends. A Service of Celebration for the Life of Connie will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Hendersonville TN on Sunday, July 13th at 1:00 pm.
