Charlotte-Caldwell-Ritter

Charlotte Caldwell Ritter passed away peacefully in Tucson, Arizona, on April 23, 2025, at the age of 97.

Charlotte lived in Nashville and Brentwood, Tennessee, for nearly 60 years before her move to Tucson. She grew up on a small dairy farm near St. Clairsville, Ohio. She attended Kent State University, where she met her future husband Tom. They married after graduation and were together for just shy of 69 years.

Charlotte was above all else devoted to family, both her own and those of her parents and siblings. She found the time and energy later in life to receive both a Master’s in Education and a nursing degree, becoming the fourth RN in the family (joining her mother and 2 daughters). Charlotte was an immensely positive, resilient and kind soul, with a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.

In retirement, Charlotte and Tom focused on their children and grandchildren. They also traveled worldwide, visiting over 46 countries, and at home, Charlotte was always working on a huge jigsaw puzzle.

Charlotte and Tom have four children, Kay (deceased), Leslie (David), Tom and Greg, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Charlotte is predeceased by her husband Tom (2018), and her sisters Bea and Nancy.

A visitation for Charlotte will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
