Charles Kenneth Southgate, age 81 of Nashville, passed away peacefully at his home on June 17, 2025.
He was the owner of Inglewood Machine & Cycle Company for many years. Charles was a local speedway racer, recognized as the National motorcycle racer #56, and a champion at the Midsouth Scat Track throughout the 70’s.
Preceded in death by his wife, Linda Rose Southgate; siblings, Edward Southgate and Paula Harper; parents, Bailey and Annie Mai Southgate.
Charles is survived by his children, Charles Raymond Southgate (Cher Lynn), Terri Lynn Fite (James), and Dana Leanne Southgate; grandchildren, Angel Gail Southgate, Nicholas Antonio Southgate (Bri), Jessica Daylon Southgate (Nathan), Alyssa Rose Fite, Alexis Ava Marie Fite, and Thomas Daniel Squires; great-grandchildren, Starla, Liam, Amy, Charlie Rose, Roman, Cameron, Ashton, and Colton is on the way; many other extended family.
Visitation will be at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home Wednesday, July 9th from 2pm until the time of service at 6pm.
