It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Carl Albert Bosse, fondly known as “Buster,” on January 11, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born on June 23, 1947, at General Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, Carl led a life filled with laughter, love, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Michael Bosse and Norene Hosrich Bosse; his sister, Joanna Bosse Losberg; and his brother, Rodney Anthony Bosse.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Pamela Martin Bosse, who was not only his partner but his anchor, confidante, and lifelong love. Together, they built a family rooted in love, strength, and enduring memories.

Carl’s legacy lives on through his children: Christopher Lee Bosse (Melinda), Melissa Bosse He (Hong), Jennifer Bosse Lovell (Christopher), and Wendy Bosse Cabral (Samuel). He was the proud and devoted grandfather, lovingly called “Gaga,” to Matthew and Noah Lovell, Aubrey Bosse, and Helen Cabral. His grandchildren will forever remember his warm hugs, playful humor, and the way he made each of them feel deeply loved and special.

Carl spent his early childhood in the Crieve Hall neighborhood of Nashville, where he developed a passion for bowling, fishing, and watching westerns. As a teenager, his family relocated to Hollywood, California, but Carl’s heart always remained in Nashville. He returned as an adult when fate intervened one day while visiting his best friend. He saw Pamela for the first time and confidently declared, “That is the girl I’m going to marry.” True to his word, they were married on November 27, 1972, at the Nashville courthouse. Their love story was one of faith, friendship, and enduring commitment.

An avid Tennessee Titans fan, Carl’s Sundays were filled with excitement and energy as he cheered on his hometown team. If a player missed a catch, Carl would humorously critique, declaring, “They should have caught that football!” His passion for the Titans reflected his loyalty, pride, and steadfast spirit.

Carl had a knack for connecting with people, often striking up conversations about one of his favorite topics: the weather. Whether with family, friends, or strangers, Carl loved sharing his weather predictions, which were often more accurate than those of professional meteorologists. His enthusiasm and curiosity about the world around him were infectious and endearing.

Throughout his career, Carl worked in various roles, always giving his best and earning the respect of his colleagues. His final place of employment before retirement was at Taylor Farms. In retirement, he pursued his passion for gardening with determination, though the results didn’t always match his efforts. Even so, his gardening attempts brought plenty of laughter and joy to those around him, showcasing his lighthearted approach to life.

Carl’s warmth, humor, and generous heart made him a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had a special way of making everyone feel seen and valued, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

A celebration of Carl’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18th, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Crieve Hall Church of Christ in Nashville. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor his remarkable life and the love he shared so freely. https://www.smithfamilyfcs.com

Rest peacefully, Carl Albert Bosse. “Gaga,” your love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know you. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
