Brent Chase Godard, age 60, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his friends and family on October 13, 2024.
Brent was born in Williamston, North Carolina to Ernest and Geraline Godard, but he later moved to Nashville, the city of music, one of his greatest passions.
Brent was preceded in death by his mother and father Ernest & Geraline Godard.
He is survived by his beautiful, loving wife of twenty four years, Petra Aylward; his sister Christy (Steve) Richards; his step-children, Breanna (Josh) Lindsey, and Robert Aylward; his granddaughter, Kearsten Collins; and his nieces Jessica Negri, and Ashley Richards. Brent was an incredible man, whose soul was filled with love, and music. His absence will be felt by all who knew him.
Brent was known for his remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him. His infectious laughter and boundless kindness made everyone feel at ease in his presence; he never met a stranger. Not only did Brent possess a deep love for people, but his heart also overflowed with a profound passion for music, which coursed through his veins. He derived immense joy from sharing his musical passion with others, eagerly spreading his love for music to all who would listen. His enthusiasm was truly inspiring, and his enduring legacy will be felt through the music he created and the countless lives he touched.
While Brent is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to serve as a wellspring of inspiration. Let us honor and remember him for the warmth of his character, his infectious humor, and his unwavering love for music. Although Brent Chase Godard has departed from this world, his music and his memory will forever resonate within us.
