Brenda filled our lives with love and laughter until she left us on May 26th, 2025, after a brief illness. Born in Nashville, she was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who brought joy to all who knew her.
She had a passion for life that was contagious. Whether she was playing pool with family and friends or cheering on her beloved Titans, Brenda embraced every moment. Summers were her favorite – spent poolside or at the lake, boating or simply basking in the sun. Swimming wasn’t just a pastime for her; it was a way of embracing the beauty of the season.
Music filled her soul, especially southern rock and country tunes that she adored. The heart of our family gatherings was often in her kitchen, where her famous hashbrown casserole and broccoli casserole became traditions we all looked forward to. Cooking for holidays, birthdays, and special family events was her way of bringing us together.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. The time she spent with them created memories we’ll cherish forever. Brenda’s love extended to her pets as well; her dogs and cats were like her children, each one doted on and deeply loved.
She found simple joy in working on jigsaw puzzles, a reflection of her patient and thoughtful nature.
Brenda was loyal, generous, supportive, kind, and compassionate. She taught us the true meaning of family through her everyday actions.
We’ll carry your spirit with us always, Brenda. You remain forever in our hearts.
Those who have preceded her in death are her parents, Franklin and Ludie Ludy, children, Angel and Angela Davis, grandson, Tyler, stepson, Shawn (Worm) Austin.
