Bountham Phenvongsa, born on May 23, 1950, in Thailand, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose gentle spirit and unwavering love touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Boualam Phenvongsa; her son, Rick Phenvongsa; and her two daughters, Somphanh Steelman and Padab El-Alayli.
Bountham treasured her family above all things. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Chance Phenvongsa, Jade Steelman, Katelyn McWhorter, Syler Phenvongsa, Brady Phenvongsa, Ujin Phenvongsa, and Victoria Tucker, and a joyful great-grandmother to Leo Phenvongsa and Lehlani Phenvongsa. Her home was always filled with warmth, care, and the delicious meals she lovingly prepared for her family – cooking was one of her greatest joys and a beautiful way she showed her love.
Bountham will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to her family, and the love she poured into every moment of her life.
