Bettye Vaughan Frith, age 94, of Nashville, TN passed away on July 16, 2024.
She was born on August 22, 1929, in Nashville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles “Mack” Frith; her parents, John Webb and Aileen Vaughan; and her brother, Billy Webb Vaughan.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Jane Edmonson and Anne Hills; and her children, Susan (Doug) Jaquith, Barry (Pam) Frith, and Sallye (David) Maples; her grandchildren, Laura Catalanotto, Abby Butler, Brad Jaquith, Brandon Frith, Katie Sposato, Keri Scheu, Amy Maples, and Kim Maples; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Antioch High School in 1947. Bettye worked in Nashville’s banking industry for over 30 years at the same Harding Mall location, and when encountered in the community was often referred to as “Bettye at the Bank.”
Bettye was a member of Crievewood Baptist Church for over 50 years, and she enjoyed playing the piano for the senior adult Sunday School. Bettye loved spending time with her family and calling them on their birthdays to sing them her special birthday song.
Please join us in a celebration of life on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, Nashville TN conducted by Minister Will Sensing. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
