Barbara Jean Evans, a woman whose genuine spirit, kind heart, and sassy wisdom touched everyone she met.

Born on December 11th, 1945, in Nashville, TN, Barbara brought warmth and joy into the lives of her family and friends for over seven decades.

Barbara’s kitchen was the heart of her home, where she expressed her love through cooking. Her culinary creations were more than meals; they were memories shared and cherished. Her talent for bringing people together over a delicious dish was unmatched.

Known for her honest nature and kind soul, Barbara was always ready with a genuine smile that could light up any room. Sociable and full of knowledge, her conversations were as enriching as they were entertaining, leaving lasting impressions on all who had the pleasure of her company.

Barbara was a devoted mother to her sons Jeffrey Evans and Keith Evans, and her daughters Janice Glover and Sonnett Moulton. She shared a special bond with her sister Claudette Butler, with whom she created countless cherished memories. Loving grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is reunited now with her beloved husband, Harold Evans, her son Michael Evans, her mother Nellie Blanche Rediker, her brothers Walter Rediker and George Rediker, and her sister Ann Haywood, all of whom preceded her in passing.

Barbara’s legacy of love, laughter, and delectable cooking will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. As we remember her, let’s celebrate the joy she brought into our lives and the beautiful spirit she shared with the world.
