Tribute to Annie James

Today, we gather to honor and celebrate the life of our beloved Annie James – a beautiful soul born on January 1, 1940, who filled the world with kindness, strength, and unwavering love. Annie was a devoted mother to her three children, George Monger, Hannah, and Joanna Peters, a proud grandmother of five, and a cherished sister among seven siblings. She was also an aunt, a friend, and a guiding light to countless nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Family was at the heart of everything she did. Annie had a gift for making every person feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her home, her heart, and her life were always open. If you knew her, you knew love – the kind that was gentle, patient, and unconditional.

In the year 2000, Annie made the courageous journey to America. Even in a new country, she continued to grow and inspire. She studied at the Nashville Literacy Council, where she learned English and discovered a passion for ceramic art. Her determination to learn, create, and keep moving forward showed the strength of her spirit and the beauty of her resilience.

Annie was truly a beautiful and loving mother, sister, aunty, and friend. She touched every life with grace and kindness. Her legacy is one of love – a love that lives on in her children, her grandchildren, her siblings, and in every person she embraced with her warmth.

Though our hearts are heavy today, we find comfort in knowing that Annie’s love remains with us. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her presence will forever be missed.

May we honor her by carrying forward the love, unity, and compassion she lived by every day.

Rest in peace, dear Annie. You will always be in our hearts.
