Born in McKenzie, Tennessee, Alice spent most of her life in the Nashville area, where she built a life filled with family, faith, and purpose. Alice was a woman who got things done. Her strength and perseverance were unmatched. She worked side by side with her husband, Frank, in building Barrett Roofing into a trusted and respected family business, fueled by her determination, work ethic, and sharp business sense. She loved her family deeply, took great pride in her work, and had an unwavering devotion to her pets, who were truly part of her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George Warren and Brooxie Penny Barksdale, her brother Kenneth Barksdale, her sister Janice Wright, and beloved Aunt Doris Youree, and her beloved husband, Frank Barrett, with whom she now rests in eternal peace.
Alice is survived by her son, Mike Barrett, and his wife Jennifer, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Brooke Barrett, who brought her so much joy, and her longtime, best friend, Billy Sue. She was a member of Triune Community Church – a reflection of her heart and faith.
