The Nashville Sounds are teaming up with the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s (TDOT) official litter prevention campaign, Nobody Trashes Tennessee, and the Nashville Department of Transportation for a neighborhood cleanup around First Horizon Park. At the same time, their respective mascots, Booster and TrashSquatch, cheer them on.
“We’re proud to once again team up with the Nashville Sounds, who consistently lead by example in keeping the community clean, safe, and welcoming,” said Antonia Hayes, TDOT Community Investments Manager. “Their ongoing dedication to environmental stewardship and volunteerism makes the Nashville Sounds an essential partner in our mission to keep Tennessee beautiful.
In addition to beautifying the neighborhood around the stadium, the cleanup aims to raise awareness of Tennessee’s litter problem. At any given time, more than 88 million pieces of litter are on Tennessee’s public roads.
“We take pride in helping keep Nashville beautiful,” said Adam English, General Manager and COO of the Nashville Sounds. “Programs like Nobody Trashes Tennessee allow us to give back and unite the community around a shared mission to keep our city clean and beautiful.”
