One Generation Away will give away fresh produce, pantry staples, and more at its mobile food pantry on Saturday, September 28.
The Middle Tennessee nonprofit will set up in the Nashville State Community College parking lot at 120 White Bridge Road, bringing a tractor-trailer full of food to anyone who could use a hand with groceries.
“This year has not been an easy one for many in our community, so we are glad to stand in the gap for anyone who might be finding their budgets stretched a little too thin this month,” said Chris Whitney, the founder and CEO of OneGenAway.
The drive-thru mobile pantry will begin around 8:45/9 a.m. and continue until about 10:00 or as supplies last. Potential recipients are encouraged to arrive early, as the food is first come, first served. Volunteers should arrive at 7:30 a.m. to help organize and distribute food. No registration is required to receive food or volunteer. OneGenAway does serve outside rain or shine.
