November 18, 2024 – Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting of a man, presumed to be a 20-year-old Nashvillian, near the front door of Strike and Spare Family Fun Center on Lebanon Pike.

A group, two men and two women, were seen on surveillance cameras entering the business at 10 p.m. before an altercation reportedly took place between the two men in the group and the victim, along with another witness.

Several shots were then fired and those inside began running out of the building.

The victim was struck multiple times. He died at the scene. The Medical Examiner’s Office will work to confirm his identity.

Police say the four people they believe are involved have voluntarily come forward and have been interviewed by detectives. A self-defense claim by the 23-year-old shooter is under investigation.

No charges have been placed to this point. It appears the two sides attended rival high schools and had prior issues.
