The man killed in Friday’s 3:15 p.m. two-vehicle head-on collision on Robinson Road is identified as David Merritt, 58, of Madison.
The preliminary investigation shows that Merritt was driving a 2015 Kia Soul west on Robinson Road near Merritt Street when he crossed over into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the driver of an eastbound Nissan Pathfinder, Teionna Greer, 36, of Nashville.
Merritt was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died. Greer sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Toxicology testing will be conducted on Merritt.
