December 20, 2024 – Early this morning, around 12:50 a.m., Mt. Juliet Police was alerted to an in-bound pursuit involving an alleged kidnapping suspect being pursued by Metro-Nashville Police along Lebanon Road. The suspect, an adult male, was driving with the kidnapped victim, an adult female, still in the vehicle.
Once the pursuit entered Mt. Juliet, officers deployed spike strips to disable the suspect’s vehicle. Despite deflated tires, the suspect continued at a low speed until reaching the 7-Eleven parking lot on Mt. Juliet Road near I-40, where he pulled in and surrendered peacefully.
Thankfully, the victim was unharmed. Further investigation revealed the incident began in Nashville, with the suspect later involved in a pursuit in Rutherford County, where he collided with a law enforcement vehicle and fled. Metro-Nashville Police later located the suspect and victim back in Nashville, initiating the pursuit that concluded in Mt. Juliet.
The suspect was taken into custody by Metro-Nashville Police.
