October 23, 2024 – A 15-year-old James Lawson High School student is charged in Juvenile Court with making a threat of mass violence.
She threatened to shoot up the school in a social media post. The student was not in school today.
Rapid School Safety Team officers went to her residence where she was taken into custody.
Threats against schools, special events and businesses are taken very seriously by the Metro Nashville Police Department. Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.
