Chaipolitan, a vibrant new 1,900-square-foot teahouse and café concept rooted in culture, flavor and creativity, will officially open its flagship location this fall at The Moore Building, a 16-story Class-A office building with ground-floor retail space in the heart of the iconic Music Row district. More than just a coffee shop, Chaipolitan is a tea-first destination designed to be a cozy, design-forward haven for tea traditionalists, flavor seekers and weekend vibe-chasers alike — because at Chaipolitan, chai is culture.
“Chaipolitan is about more than what’s in your cup—it’s about how it makes you feel,” said Pamela Ghosal Chaudhury, founder of Chaipolitan. “We want every guest to feel welcomed, seen and surprised. Every sip, every bite, every moment in our space is designed to spark comfort, curiosity and connection.”
The teahouse will offer an elevated, yet approachable menu centered around a dozen signature chai blends, complemented by a rotating selection of herbal and aromatic teas, as well as a wide selection of kombucha on tap. Guests can also enjoy handcrafted iced “refreshers” with surprising flavor twists like cumin, basil, lemon or lavender. In addition to tea, Chaipolitan will serve a full coffee and espresso drink with both timeless classics and seasonal specialties. Beyond the extensive drink menu, the café will also feature baked goods and Indian-fusion burgers, sandwiches, and quick bites —designed to nourish the spirit with every bite.
Located at 827 19th Ave. S., The Moore Building was developed by Portman in 2023 and offers 236,000 square feet of office space and 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail. Chaipolitan will be the latest addition to the retail mix, joining the already established Vinyasa yoga studio, Highland Yoga. The activated ground floor is centered around an extended porte-cochère lobby, one of the first of its kind in the city, offering a seamless arrival experience and distinctive architectural flair.
