Authorities Respond to Train Derailment in Goodlettsville

At 8:17am Friday morning, the Goodlettsville Fire Department received a call about a train derailment in the 100 block of Two-Mile Pike. Emergency crews from both the fire and police departments responded promptly to the scene.

The derailment involved three empty coal cars that came off the track due to an unknown mechanical malfunction.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and authorities confirmed there are no public safety concerns.

The incident is not causing any traffic disruptions except for CSX railroad operations.
