A man is jailed today on $600,000 bond for the March 12th kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman in his Madison apartment. The victim met Damon Clifton, 51, that day and she said he invited her into his apartment.
The victim reported Clifton kept her from leaving for nearly 16 hours, both physically and sexually assaulting her before she was able to escape. She sought treatment at Skyline Medical Center where she reported the assault and identified Clifton through a photo lineup.
He is charged with attempted criminal homicide, especially aggravated kidnapping and rape.
