4Slim + Husky’s Unplugged, Volume 4
Saturday, June 4, 8:00pm-11:30pm
1808 West End Ave, Nashville, TN
Analog at Hutton Hotel
Unlike most major showcases in downtown Nashville, Slim + Husky’s is focusing a light on the “next up” when it comes to Hip Hop, R&B, and alternative sounds of Black Musicians within Music City. Volume IV, V, and VI are bringing more amazing independent, emerging artists to the stage. They have revamped the show to include storytelling from each artist for a more interactive and educational experience about their music. This series will also introduce both local and national platform artists. We are excited to announce Unplugged will take place at Analog, within the Hutton Hotel. Analog is one of Nashville’s dopest venues. Think Songwriter Vibes, Chic Ambiance amongst several bars, and a stage set to highlight future/current stars within the music industry.

5Alma W. Thomas: Everything is Beautiful
Sunday, June 5, 10:00am-5:30pm
919 Broadway Ave, Nashville, TN
Frist Art Museum
Alma W. Thomas: Everything Is Beautiful provides a comprehensive overview of the artist’s long life (1891–1978) with more than one hundred works, including her rarely seen theatrical designs and beloved abstract paintings. The exhibition will demonstrate how her artistic practices extended to every facet of her life—from community service and teaching to gardening and dress. A trailblazer, Thomas was the first Black American woman to have a solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 1972, which was similar to her exhibition at Fisk University in 1971. Sunday is the last day to see this exhibit!
