SPRINGFIELD/FAYETTEVILLE – As Mega Millions jackpot fever grows across the country, thousands of Tennessee players are winning prizes along the way. That includes lucky players in Springfield and Fayetteville, who won $40,000 and $10,000 each respectively from the drawing held last night, Dec. 17.
Both players matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball to win the base prize of $10,000. But since the Springfield player added the Megaplier option for an extra dollar, the prize was multiplied by last night’s drawing multiplier, which was four.
The $40,000 winning ticket was purchased at Honeysuckle Market, 1301 Memorial Blvd. in Springfield.
The $10,000 winning ticket was purchased at Stateline Shell, 3352 Huntsville Hwy. in Fayetteville.
Meanwhile, the jackpot for the popular drawing-style game now stands at an incredible $825 million for Friday.
The Tennessee Lottery reminds players to have fun and play responsibly. It only takes one ticket to win.
