TITANS Unit detectives arrested a 17-year-old on Monday for his involvement in the March 4th shooting on Rio Vista Drive that injured a 28-year-old man.
The Non-Lethal Shooting Unit investigation revealed the 17-year-old was part of a group that was involved in an argument with several female teenagers at the apartment complex. One of the females reported the 28-year-old attempted to deescalate the situation when she heard a gunshot.
The 28-year-old was transported to Skyline Medical Center for treatment.
The 17-year-old was identified by surveillance images from the shooting and identified himself in those images during an interview with detectives on Monday. He was charged in Juvenile Court with attempted criminal homicide, two counts of reckless endangerment, vandalism, juvenile handgun possession and using a weapon during the commission of a felony.
The investigation remains ongoing.
